    ATF Revises NICS Opinion Again

The ATF would appear to have "clarified" once again whether you need to do a NICS check when delivering an NFA item to a trust or corporation. Now the answer is yes. Of course, this takes the air out of one of their arguments for trying to force through 41P...

Is it possible this clarification is in preparation for letting 41P die of natural causes?

You are not the first person to ask that question. It also appears that ATF's CCO is trying to make sure that IOI's and field agents are giving clear and consistent direction to those who try very hard to do things right.

I felt that this was the simplest solution from day one.

I use the word solution with reservation. I still not convinced that there is a problem with trusts.

And I am still not certain this is the last word.
