    Predicted wait times after 41F

I was watching a YouTube video yesterday posted by the Military Arms Channel. There, Tim made the statement that many people expect the future wait times on Form 1s and 4s, regardless of how you file, will increase exponentially after 41F is implemented. Anyone here have any thoughts on this or information to share? Will wait times grow to 10 to 12 months again as some have speculated?

Current submission rates are at ~11,000 per week and waits have not budged much. And that rate is much higher than ever. But with that said, there could be even more of a surge after July 13th, bigger than the pre-launch rush is doing. I suspect that wait times will increase, but it is nearly impossible to divine by how much.

An anonymous contributor with a finger on the pulse of activity informs that the average has increased to over 15,000 inbound forms per week with a new peak week of over 15,000. That's a lot of paper for ~30 government employees to shepherd...

With an every growing government budget why is the NFA branch so under staffed? If this was any other agency they would be clamoring to hire more staff and grow the government union membership.

They have actually doubled the number of people processing forms in the past year. FWIW, although the White House and Congress continue to spend us into oblivion, ATF budget remains mostly static and they don't get to keep the tax stamp receipts!
