Are you a NRA life member or have 5+yrs of consecutive membership? If so, please vote for John Brown, NRA Board nominee. http://www.nfatca.org/jkbnra.htm

John is the President of the NFATCA and is working to strengthen the ties between us and the NRA.

I've been an NRA member since 2001 and vote in every BOD election.

In order to "maximize" the power of my vote, I only vote for a select few candidates - usually five or less - and don't vote for the celebrity gun owners (R. Lee Ermey, Ted Nugent, et al).

I cannot find very much information on Mr. Brown and some of what I have found is not complimentary.

I won't rule out voting for any candidate (Mr. Brown included) but I need to know what his specific goals are. What can we NFA enthusiasts expect from John Brown?

I hope you all will pardon me for being direct. Past elections, political and organizational, have taught me that candidates in any election need to be pinned down on specific issues. Talking points like "Candidate X supports the Second Amendment" don't cut it for me.

Most of what has been penned on the net is complete BS. John is not and has never been an ATF informant, paid or otherwise. This was a bit of smoke offered by a defense attorney during a federal case designed to cast doubt on testimony. John refuted the allegations and no proof was offered that the allegations were true. The defendants were all convicted.

John's goals are direct: improve and expand the NFA opportunities available to all and work within NRA to help make those opportunities more visible and more a part of the mainstream NRA effort.
