    Russian .223

My M16A1 fires Russian .223 "Military Classic" fine on semi, but on auto, I get four or five fires, then a dud. Looks like a shallow (light) primer strike. That round then fires fine with a second strike on semi. Any thoughts?

It sounds like your getting either bolt bounce or your FA sear is releasing to early. Slowly cycle your action while holding the trigger back with the selector in the FA position. Your hammer should fall right before the bolt fully closes. If this is OK try a heavy buffer.
