As far as I can figure, thee should be the steps for a successful application:
1. Assign a control number.
2. Ensure the payment clears.
3. Check the paperwork for accuracy.
3a. If applicable, look at the trust documents.
4. Run background check(s) on applicant/responsible parties.
5. Mark the application as "approved.
6: Issue the stamp.

It took two months for NFA Branch to process and approve a Form 3.

My Form 4 (trust) is at 9 months and counting, and it is unfathomable to me why it would take so long.
